A strong delegation from Calabar South Local Government Area on April 18, 2026, participated in the grand endorsement rally of the Prince Is Coming Movement at Ikom Stadium, joining stakeholders from across Cross River State in a unified call for continuity in leadership ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Calabar South contingent, led by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Ironbar, and the Executive Chairman, Pst. Hon. Patrick Archibong, alongside Vice Chairman Lady Atim Martins, was accompanied by State House of Assembly members Hon. Effiong Ekarika and Hon. Victor Nsa, councillors, and other political appointees.

The rally drew participation from all 18 local government areas of the state, with attendees expressing support for the second term ambitions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, and Deputy Governor Peter Odey.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Ironbar highlighted the achievements of Governor Otu’s administration, noting improvements in infrastructure, governance, and investment climate. He described the administration’s performance as a strong basis for continuity.

Pst. Hon. Patrick Archibong, in his remarks, commended the governor’s leadership style, emphasizing its impact on grassroots development and governance in the state.

The event concluded with a unanimous endorsement by attendees, signaling broad-based political support for the current administration and reinforcing calls for sustained development through continuity.
