Former Special Adviser on Cocoa Development and Control to ex-Governor Ben Ayade, Dr. Oscar Ofuka has applauded the Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Otu for awarding the 10-kilometer Ikom/Obudu road rehabilitation project.

While handing over the keys of a police station built to serve as temporary accommodation for Faith Plants Global, during the weekend in Bendeghe Ekiem community, Etung local government area, Ofuka remarked that this is a means of giving back to the society.

“This is my little way of supporting efforts of government and giving back to society,” Ofuka said.

On behalf of the construction company, His Royal Highness, (HRH) Ntufam Abraham Asu, Clan Head of Okosoro Clan, received the keys and thanked Ofuka for the gesture. He also applauded him for “prioritizing security of the community and the welfare of those developing the community.”

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Crisis Management Committee of Mbube Blocks of Clans, Chief Moses Ndep, cautioned Bendeghe Ekiem youths against entering into cocoa farms with pending court orders.

He stressed that “the farms were genuinely allocated to farmers by immediate past administration.”
